Subject: RE: Kenny Reid luthier Chicago From: GUEST,Jeremy & Dennis Date: 16 Oct 14 - 01:25 PM We have this guitar here in the shop and cannot find ANY information about the builder. It's labeled a 1949 and made in Chicago, but we know NOTHING about it. We would LOVE to know absolutely ANYTHING!!!!! Thanks! It also says "quality archtop guitars" on the label. Thanks!! |
Subject: RE: Kenny Reid luthier Chicago From: maeve Date: 16 Oct 14 - 02:20 PM Jeremy and Dennis- I conducted several searches with the help of google, but have found only this fragment, on the kijiji selling site in Canada: "Jun 2, 2014 - 1949 Kenny Reid Archtop Guitar ... I have not been able to verify this information, but perhaps it will give you a starting point in your search for more. |
Subject: RE: Kenny Reid luthier Chicago From: GUEST Date: 17 Oct 14 - 01:11 AM Ah schucks! That's the ad where this specific guitar came from! It's a really good guitar. It's somewhere between a 1950's Kay and a 1940's Epiphone in quality, but leaning more towards the Epiphone side. Thanks.. ;) |
