but has anyone got a key to the performer and audience.

yes i'd seen that thread.

it just seems an odd sort of song.

the black snake seems to have protean qualities.
one time, its threatening sort of thing crawling round the room. another time its a willy.

the man presumably, doesn't want no mama nohow.

yet there he is singing abput his blacksnake.

obviously lots of people warmed to this song. what was it saying to them......
