Subject: Lyr Req: Seeking ...Sailing o'er the ebony sea... From: GUEST,P. Cruise Warren Date: 03 Nov 14 - 01:23 PM Hello, I attended a Shanty sing aboard the Balclutha in San Francisco back in 2012, February or March I believe it was. I was member of the Lady Washington crew and had a phenomenal time listening and singing! A man stood and sang a particular song that I had never heard before and the refrain has stuck with me. It went: The Sun, Moon, and stars above, Could never replace the arms of my love, While sailing o'er the ebony sea, There's only one way for me to be free. Unfortunately that is all I can recall. Has anyone else heard this one, and know the rest of it? Thanks much, I love this site! Phil Cruise Warren PCruiseW at Gmail.com |
