Subject: Bold Pirate From: Frankie Date: 25 Nov 99 - 10:54 AM There is a song in the database called Bold Pirate. I play a jig of the same name that I learned from a mountain dulcimer player. He told me that the tune was actually composed by another dulcimer player from the state of New York he met at a festival. He was only aware of two parts to the tune and wasn't sure that any other existed. If anyone is aware of additional sections or has any additional info re the song, the tune, origins, recordings etc. I'd love to know about it. Thanks, Frankie |

Smithsonian/Folkways
A search of your local university library would probably be a good place check for this recording. |
