Hi Ed

I have used most of the Video editors at one time or another.

I am on Windows 7 and I use most of the Video file types with no problems.

One I would really recommend for what I believe is what you want is Magix Video Easy. It is cheap and very simple to use.

You can do a great deal with ffmpeg (freeware), which is a command line only programme.

MPEG-2 TS might be a new variation, so I don't guarantee anything.

I've put a few things up on the web with VideoPad made by NCH.
I have had a few problems with it which may be down to my inexperience.
The best part is that you can try it out with a free download then decide if you want to pay for an upgrade/.

I did not find movie maker very user friendly either. I got and adobe premier 12 program for about $60.00 US and had a little better luck. I found that if I uploaded a video in to premier, and then uploaded that file directly to youtube, that I could the cut parts before and after the part I wanted, that I could publish that on youtube. The four or five most recent videos I put up on my channel were done that way. If you put my name in the channel search you should be able to find it, if you want to see what I did.

I'm wanting to do some simple video editing. Nothing fancy, just cut, copy and paste mostly.

Yes, I know that I already have 'Movie Maker' but I don't find it at all user friendly.

Does anyone have suggestions for a better product? I'm more than happy to pay, but don't wish to go to 100s of £/$

I'm using Windows 7 and the videos are in MPEG-2 TS format.
