If you're coming, email me on valmaigoodyear[at]aol[dot]co[dot]uk to confirm and bring the right money in cash on the day as there isn't now time to put a cheque through the club's account.

Jerry suggests that people bring a computer memory stick if they've got one so that he can transfer recordings he will play during the workshop of source singers so that people can take them home. There will also be plenty of opportunities to sing.

You know, two years ago, I walked two miles through the rain on a cold Dublin night to go to the Goilin and meet Jerry O'Reilly, and I ended up in the wrong room in the right building.

And so I missed my chance to meet Jerry O'Reilly.

Don't do the same.

You still managed to enjoy yourself - even in the wrong room - if I remember correctly!

Joe,
On the year that you were at Whitby Folk Week, Jerry was there and like the hyperactive people that we both are, our paths crossed many times that week at official events and informal sessions and singarounds. You must have worked hard to avoid Mr. O'Reilly at the Whitby Festival.

This sounds right up my street but there's no way I can get to Lewes.
Will any of it be made available online or in any other format?

Alas, no. You could try asking your local folk club organiser to book him, though.

We still have some places for the day and evening. If you're coming, email me (valmaigoodyear[at]aol[dot]com} to let me know the numbers and bring the right money in cash on the day.

If you're coming by car, do allow time to park. The car park arrangements have changed and the nearest all-day ones are Brook Street and Spring Gardens: http://www.lewes.gov.uk/community/2315.asp
