Please tell your friends. It'll be 10 years in May since we lost Siws. A firebrand, a livewire, who took Welsh folk music and song all over the world: an exquisite voice and a woman of principle and honesty. A group of the people who knew her, loved her, played with her are taking part in

I won't be in the area on Feb 28th, but I do remember Siws with great affection, though our acquaintance was brief. I'll be with you in spirit.

Thanks, Brian.
I was listening to her on Frank Hennessey's "Celtic Heartbeat" on BBC Radio Wales - a Sunday night, and on iPlayer. Stuart Brown and Eiry Palfrey went to talk to Frank about the concert. She was wonderful - what a voice. Siws came to my wedding in 1988, in Bewdley, Worcs, by public transport - she wouldn't ever drive on principle, because she thought everyone should use public transport. She was a GREAT friend - I'm very lucky to have known her. She spent two Xmas/New Years with me here - one was her last, sadly. My neighbours still talk about her singing 13 years ago in my lounge... Ah me.
Keep in touch!

I remember her well, I booked Mabsant at a Folk club I ran, they stayed in my house.
She was lively, good company and a good singer and performer. I am sorry she is no longer with us.I hope the concert goes really well. Dick Miles

I met Siws at Aust Festival nr. Bristol in 1999; I remember her sleeping beneath the stars in her sleeping bag the graveyard! We played together - an impromptu performance (in said graveyard) with me on crwth & Siws singing like an angel. Amazing. Honoured.

I shall always rememberer her as someone who was almost scary in her display of energy when you could also feel that she was not really a physically well person. I think of her from time to time and miss her voice.

Sorry we can't make it, would have loved to be there. Nevertheless I can still remember, the songs, the voice and the incredible passion in her singing. Even if you didn't understand the Welsh (or Japanese in one song if my memory doesn't fail me)you just knew what she was singing about.
Please send my best wishes to everyone there, I'm sure it will be a wonderful event. I'll be thinking of you all and especially, "The Golden Voice of Wales"
