I'm learning the old PF song "Wot's... uh the Deal" from Obscured by Clouds. The lyrics are:

Flash the readies, wot's the deal
Got to make it to the next meal

Just wondering what that might mean.

What does it mean ?

Even at that relatively early stage of their career,
Pink Floyd were openly admitting they were a bunch of bread heads mainly only in it for the money.
