Last week on NPR there was afeature on a man who had transcribed all of Joplins music to guitar. There was no information given on obtaining his recordings and I have forgotten his name. Can anybody help me?

Hi, Lonesome! (I've heard rumors of a CD...I want it!)

The guitarist is Giovanni De Chiaro. Click Here

Looks like a must-have (just added to my Christmas list)! I've always wanted to hear "A Real Slow Drag" from Treemonisha done on guitar (Dave Van Ronk, where are you?), but don't know if that's on it.

There are 4 CDs, you can find them at:

They are also available from the big on-line suppliers.

Howdy, you wouldn't be Lonesome Dave K. would you? If so, How you been, and welcome to Mudcat.
Rick

And it was Lonesome's CD I was talking about. I really think Rick's "If Jesus Was A Picker" would go nicely on it. (Ok, ok, I'll stop causing trouble now.)

A bit off the target; but, if you want to play 'em, Stefan Grossman puts out a book of transcriptions of Joplin music for guitar. I can't find my catalogue; but you can look it up at his site.
