I'm not sure this song is worthy of a DTStudy thread, but it's kinda useless in the DT if it has no context. It's marked as a parody, but what's it a parody of? I see that Mmario got a tune for it somehow, but what's the tune and where's Mmario's file? One thread says Mmario sent me the file, but I can't find it. More info, please!!

It looks like all the sites with the original lyrics have a video of the wrong tune associated with them.

OK, #, I give you credit for solving part of the mystery. it's clear that "I Am Lard" is a parody of the Gwen Zak/Leslie Fish song titled "I Am Lord." the lyrics page at letssingit.com has a YouTube recording of "Here I Am Lord" (a song by the St. Louis Jesuits), and I'm quite sure that's not the tune. So, what IS the tune?

So, "I Am Lard" is a parody of a pagan filk song. It was submitted to the Digital Tradition by AJS. Who dat?

I found a coupla good recordings of "I Am Lord" on Spotify. Here's one on YouTube by Castalia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfysTFidwi8. I prefer the recording on the self-titled album by Moonstruck, but I can't find it on YouTube.
