Tawmmie and I had a blast at the 2015 Getaway. Thanks to all our friends, old and new, who helped make this weekend so much fun. I've posted some pictures on my Facebook Page. The facility was great and the food was excellent.

Thanks, #. I still get
"Sorry, this content isn't available right now The link you followed may have expired, or the page may only be visible to an audience you're not in." which is likely because I am not on FB. It's ok. Likely those who managed to go have access and that's good enough.

Mike's link works for Facebook members, but not for those who aren't logged into Facebook. To make Facebook photos visible to everyone, go to the photo album and click on the gear-shaped "tools" icon, and select "get link." Copy the link [CTRL-C], and paste it where you want it. Here's an example:

It was a great Getaway. I even stepped out of character and told a true story.

Thank you, Mike & Joe. Darriel and Bill have excellent pics.   Darriel says I can put up some of his. (maybe tomorrow?). Here are a few on my facebook page:

click for album

It was a very, very fine Getaway (aren't they all?). You were right, Kendall, your true story brought tears to my eyes. The music varied (as usual) from good to sensational. The biggest treat for me was that there are so many excellent young singers; I think the youngest person who performed in the concerts was 12 years old.

More later.

Good friends, good music as always. I got to chauffeur and work with Marge Steiner. I had some mechanical adventures in Lisa's van.

And, sadly to say, it was the last time I got to see my sometime singing partner and long time running buddy Phil Fox before he passed away in his sleep sometime soon after he arrived home, presumably a relapse of the stroke he was fighting to recover from that he had suffered a month before. He got to do the last song in the Sunday night program, and I'm told the last song he sang at the all night jams was his favorite hymn, so I guess that's as fitting a way to go out as any. We'd been friends for over forty years, and his passing leaves a big hole in my life and those of many others, as well......
