Tonight, I watched the lovely Jools Holland's Later and the amazing rock singer/writer Richard Hawley. Accompanying Richard, playing violin and singing, was... Nancy Kerr! Did anyone watch this meeting of two minds?

I was watching the beginning of it before rugby started. I like Richard Hawley and thought his Hearts Of Oak song was good. I really like John Grant too. His live album with the full orchestra is fabulous!

Managed to see Nancy at the very end of Jools H singing in the chorus with another backing singer ~ Richard Hawley was invited and did sing with Tom Jones ~ no less and Jools accompanying his guitar playing

Didnt catch Nancy ont violin

The extended version of the programme apparently also has another song with NK on fiddle. Will have to look it up on iPlayer.

Richard Hawley's band did three songs as well as the one with Jools and Tom at the piano. The second song was a slow ballad with two female violinists

Preferred Hawley's singing voice when he was at the piano with Jools and Tom - it was more engaging than his other stuff I thought.
