Subject: Ladies and gents, it's been a pleasure From: Marion Date: 03 Dec 99 - 10:48 AM Today is my last day of work, so I won't have access to a computer anymore, so I wish to raise the parting glass. I've learned a lot here, and really enjoyed the times I wasn't learning anything too. The next phase in my life when I have a computer, I'll be running straight back here. XOXOXOX, Marion (PS to Banjo Bonnie: that was hugs and kisses, not a case of massive indecision.) |

Subject: RE: BS: Ladies and gents, it's been a pleasure From: Musicman Date: 03 Dec 99 - 11:36 AM "Of all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company, And all the harm that e'er I've done, alas, it was to none but me. And all I've done for want of wit to mem'ry now I can't recall. So fill to me the parting glass, goodnight, and joy be with you all.
O all the comrades that e'er I had are sorry for my going away
Come back to us soon Marion
(Sorry, bad habit I have, peole say things that remind me of a song and I just have to sing it...... ) All the best, Musicman |
Subject: RE: BS: Ladies and gents, it's been a pleasure From: Easy Rider Date: 03 Dec 99 - 11:59 AM Alas, fair Maid Marion, we will miss your sweet smile. Do try to buy a home computer. It doesn't have to be a fancy one. Come back real soon. We'll keep a warm spot for you, by the e-fire, in the hobo camp they call the Mudcat Cafe, down in the Hollow, beside the Information SuperHighway. Look, up ahead, your next stop, the Cyberzone. Subject: RE: BS: Ladies and gents, it's been a pleasure From: bseed(charleskratz) Date: 03 Dec 99 - 12:12 PM Easy Rider, maybe Mad Marion would be more appropriate: Marion with an O is usually a masculine name (John Wayne's real first name). The feminine is usually with an A: Marian. Of course I have been wrong before: remember Joely? Among dozens of hundreds of other blunders I have posted here (some think my posting of anything is a blunder). But Marion, M or F, come back soon: we hate to lose good people. --seed |
Subject: RE: BS: Ladies and gents, it's been a pleasure From: Jack (Who is called Jack) Date: 03 Dec 99 - 12:23 PM Marion, Last day of work? Since that can imply situations ranging from joy to trepidation, here's my wish for the former. |
Subject: RE: BS: Ladies and gents, it's been a pleasure From: Mbo Date: 03 Dec 99 - 12:25 PM "Sweet Maid Marion, don't you do me no wrong, stay on the right side, the Mudcat is your ho-o-ome!" (Sorry, ELO again, with a bit of variation of course!) And Seed, it's obvious that Marion is female, despite the name spelling! Blast it, I was just getting into your posts, and now you have to leave us! Please come back soon! The Mama'Cat ain't happy until all her children are home! --Mbo |
