Can anyone provide the lyrics to what I think is a mining related song. The only words I have are:-

Day in, day out, the year about
My shift is dawn till dusk
I hew the coal and earn my pay
To buy my daily bread.

The Knocker-Upper Man also has a verse that starts with the line "Day in, day out, the year about," which I suppose is not an uncommon phrase in some English-speaking places.
