Mid-September I'll be in New York for the first time for a few days en route West.
Any tips re music venues, decent hotels, transport etc. Also - anything to really avoid?

Lorcan Otway has a theatre on St Marks place - Has an Irish session in the bar I believe - and Steve Suffet has a singers club in Queens

I shall be in NY at the end of September on my way to The Getaway
