Becky and Leon have a strong involvement with the local folk scene both as dancers and musicians with Ditchling Morris and active particpants in local tune and song sessions. Their son, Jack, was one half of a delightful appearance at Folk In The Chapel in the summer. We decided to investigate where all that talent came from....

Ian Kearey has played with the Oyster Band, poetry-rock hooligans the Blue Aeroplanes, Peter Astor and a million indie and folk people... has played on a street corner in Los Angeles with Ry Cooder, and shared a lost weekend with guitar legend John Fahey... currently plays with the Sussex Pistols, Duck Soup and the Pigeon Swing, and is producer and musician with Shirley Collins... plays too many instruments, but tries to bring only two to solo gigs...

Mandy has been a central important figure on the vibrant Brighton Irish music scene for many years now. She is a former All-Ireland champion on the concertina and enjoys a huge respect amongst enthusiasts for this music. Her equally talented daughter is now following in her footsteps. As well as being highly rated instrumentalists, they are both fine singers.
