Subject: BS: Young Men and the Menstrual Phenomenon
From: Ebbie

I got a good laugh out of this story: A student in London, England, is having a teaching moment lashing out at women and girls' inability to control their menstrual cycles. He is incensed at the idea that women can't hold in the problem until they can get to a toilet. He points out that he doesn't go around peeing in inappropriate places and if the female sex is too "lazy" to use the same self-control... well, then.

The story begins thus:

"Most young men don't get much in the way of education about periods. (Photo: Getty Images)

"It sounds like someone in the younger demographic needs a serious lesson in the female anatomy.

"Ryan Williams, whose bio calls him a politician and youth adults spokesperson from London, took to Twitter over the past 48 hours to offer his opinion about the call to end the tampon tax. And he's absolutely against it … because he feels that women should learn to control their menstrual cycle. He even created the hashtags #SelfControl and #StopTheBlob to publicize his case."

It's all about Self-Control

Ryan needs to pay attention in his biology lessons.

Oh my Lord, he 'studies' in Norwich!! I might have passed him in the street!!
What an utter fool. It worries me that someone 'educated' in this country should be so extremely ignorant and stupid. He says he has a girlfriend. One wonders if she is ashamed of his idiocy or agrees with it.
His entire family must be absolutely cringing.

And what is this new word 'meninism'? Perhaps he meant 'me-ism'!

As an experiment he might like to try injuring an arm, say, then only bleeding when he is in the toilet. Use a bit of self control, there, lad.

Young man tries to pick up a girl in the pub:

"Not tonight, I'm on my menstrual cycle."
"That's ok. I'll run alongside"

I'll get my coat.

Obviously one of Trump's advisors, rather like Farage

I propose that Mr. Williams' anal sphincter be surgically removed. Then he can tweet a report on how well he does at not shitting his pants.

I see this was publicized by The Mirror.

Ya know, it's sad but true that if you want free publicity, you shouldn't do something noble or brave, you should say something really stupid.

It's just too bad we can't have him in the U.S. for a presidential candidate.

Can't say fairer than that.

Reminded of a story my mother used to tell: of how when she was a fairly new teacher in the 1930s, (and admittedly then you might be forgiven for lack of biological knowledge), one of her pupils complained of a "headache". My mother put 2+2 together and made 6: gave the girl a sanitary towel (remember them?) came back into the classroom to find the girl had strapped it across her forehead.....!

Hahahaha Tattie!

My mum was in the WAAF during the war, and all women in the Forces were issued with sanitary towels. She used to tell me how they were used for all sorts of things, such as cleaning windows, polishing kit, washing floors and dusting! I think the issue of sanitary towels was authorised by Lord Nuffield, but I may have got that wrong.

As a child I was often sent to the haberdasher's in our town to ask for a packet of Dr White's. I had no idea what they were, or who Dr White might be. The owner of the shop was called Mr Bottom! He sold ladies' knickers and vests, stockings and brassieres. I've often wondered if his name influenced his choice of business!
