How to be polite -
Stop usin' hurtful language
Tryin' to pick a fight

Turn off that television,
Turn off the Internet
Turn off the gosh darn cellphone
Treat others with respect

Civility is out the door,
This country is a wreck.
We're tired of livin' in this Hell -
Let's get back to Heck!

What the hey, start today,
Moderate the words you say.
Put your temper back on ice -
What's so bad 'bout bein' nice?

Disagreement shouldn't mean
Losing all respect
Why magnify the size of Hell?
Let's all get back to Heck.

None of us are better off
bein' polarized -
If we just practice kindness,
We might be surprised.

Hatred helps nobody -
Let's stop and reconnect -
Let's turn around and leave this Hell
And all get back to Heck.
