Thought I'd share a filk I wrote about a year or so ago about a honest-to-ghod real life experience (well, altered slightly to fit the tune *lol*). Anyways, here goes:

The Inn of the Wolf and Drum (tune: House of the Rising Sun)

There is an inn in Lions Gate,
they call the Wolf and Drum
It's been the ruin of many a poor wench
and Lord I know I'm one

Go tell my baby brother
not to do as I have done
To spend his life in debauchery
in the Inn of the Wolf and Drum

The only things a pirate needs

my race is almost run
I'm going to end up really drunk
in the Inn of the Wolf and Drum

Are either of these fair ladies active on this list; is this list still even active after all these years?

I found this, and just about fell off my chair. I've never heard this song before, but found it just today while reading a back-issue of the Kingdom of AEthelmearc's Brewers' Guild newsletter. I'm getting back into brewing after ten years, and you'll never guess what's coming back!!
