Although she hasn't been on mudcat for a while some of you will remember ZanyMouse (Rhiannon) and I'm sad to report that she died last night.

She had many ongoing problems as a result of lupus, but despite that always remained bright and optimistic and determined to live life as fully as she could(I don't think I could have done that with what she put up with).

My partner for the last 16 years it's time to say goodbye,

Rhiannon was a special lady, and I feel privileged to have known her and been able to count her as a friend.

What another shock to come in this way to the close of what has been such a distressing year with so many obits.

Just heard the news via Les Sullivan. We were together for 20 years in all and had some good times in the folk world and on our boat. I suppose it is too early to have any details of the funeral?

I've been remembering the glad times with a smile since Mick told me of Rhiannon's passing. She had an incredibly positive attitude despite her medical problems over the years and was always wanting to help anyone in need. I'll miss her.

I understand that it might be a while before Mick can arrange her funeral and I'm sure that he will post details here and also on FB.

Shocked and sad to hear this - only just spotted it as I don't visit Mudcat so often these days. Rhiannon was one of the few Mudcatters I've knowingly met, though I haven't seen her for years.

I have a date for Rhiannon's funeral now. The details are:

Wed 8th February 2017 at 3:00pm

Sherwood Forest Crematorium,
Newark Rd,
New Ollerton,
Notts NG22 9PZ

No flowers - donations to British Heart Foundation
Dress - whatever you want to wear, doesn't have to be sombre!

Afterwards there will be food at home; directions available from me
for those who need them.
