BBC Radio 2; Join singer songwriter Nell Bryden as she goes on a musical journey through her home town of New York City in her brand new series Nell's Kitchen.

Over the next four weeks, Nell celebrates a different area of the Big Apple that gave rise to a different genre of music, and a generation of great artists.

Monday 16 January Part One She kicks off the series in Harlem, world capital of jazz.
Monday 23 January Part Two Nell travels south to Midtown, that part of Manhattan that gave rise to Disco.
Monday 30 January Part Three
Monday 06 February Part Four
To be announced, but there's plenty of choice. Perm any two from folk, rock, hiphop, rap, dance and more

In Part Three of Nell's Kitchen, Nell travels further south to Greenwich Village, home of Folk Music.

On her journey of discovery, Nell takes a tour through the Village to find the iconic venues that launched the careers of some of the great folk artists and talks to folk musician, author and music critic Elijah Wald.

All accompanied by a great folk soundtrack.

All accompanied by a great Anti Folk soundtrack.
