We saw Jim and Ken Wilson in London late last year, and they were anything but 'dreich' a wonderful night of traditional songs by two of the finest singers on the folk scene at this time. Have a great night.

It's a matter of taste- yes, Jim is a fine singer but sometimes a bit dreich, as we say in this part of the world. He's a cheerful enough fella, but maybe his performance could lighten up a bit?

Jim needs to get a bit more life in him, his songs are so doleful.
Have seen him on a number of times and is always the same so I won't make the effort to the Welly this week. Sorry.

Hi All,

Apart from the bizarre goings on across the pond yesterday, I hope your 2017 has gotten off to a great start!

Just to let you know, we have Jim MacFarland as our first Guest of 2017, this coming Thursday, January 26th.

This kicks off our 40th year of organising a continuous weekly Folk Song & Music Club on Teesside, which we intend to celebrate in style!!
