Subject: Lyr Req: Miller's daughter From: Trevor Date: 07 Feb 17 - 10:45 AM I'm trying to track down a song which a couple sang in a session at Fishguard Festival last year. The only lines I have are; 'These marble halls in which I dwell are like to me a living hell' and 'There is a mill, a flour mill' There is a lad a handsome lad' It's the usual tragedy of the unrequited love of a rich man and the miller's daughter. Ring any bells please? |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Miller's daughter From: FreddyHeadey Date: 08 Feb 17 - 06:10 PM This thread mentions the song being sung at the "Old Town pub" thread.cfm?threadid=160500 Maybe you could try their FB page? https://m.facebook.com/fishguardfolk/ & give them a day/description of the duo etc . |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Miller's daughter From: Trevor Date: 09 Feb 17 - 01:43 AM Thanks Freddy. I hadn't spotted that thread. The person who posted it contacted me the other day with the query, as I was running the session! I have to confess I have no recollection of the duo or the song, hence my query. There are a couple of other routes I can take with it - thanks anyway. T |
