Subject: RE: Morrigan Cheam FC and London From: Sarah the flute Date: 06 Mar 17 - 03:04 PM Great evening at Cheam Folk Club last night and now gearing up for an evening in a pub in London near Temple station with very nice beer and an interesting history on Wednesday 8th March. We start at 8pm with a 10pm finish. The Cheshire Cheese is in Little Essex Street. The pub does food too |
Subject: RE: Morrigan Cheam FC and London From: GUEST Date: 06 Mar 17 - 03:34 PM Is Cheam open to the general public? They don't publicise themselves and the website makes it look like a social function for members of the sports club that hosts it. |
Subject: RE: Morrigan Cheam FC and London From: Sarah the flute Date: 06 Mar 17 - 06:30 PM Yes it is open to anyone. Always first Sunday of the month. They have Scolds Bridle in April (2nd). There is no entry fee and they get the room for free. Cheap beer at the bar too. BUT it is now an early start - 6-8.30pm. Always a great range of instruments and different styles of songs and for many of the instrumentals everyone joins in. Lovely little club - I think they are about to get their act together and do a facebook page, twitter etc |
