It appears that all the PURSLOW Hammond & Gardner Mss books are
no longer available ?????

Can anyone provide information about:
The Everlasting Circle, English traditional verse with notes from the manuscripts of Baring-Gould, Hammond and Gardiner Hardcover – 1960
by James. Reeves   Published by Heinemann.

To what extent does Purslow duplicate the Reeves publication?

Thanks.
Thomas.

Thanks, Thomas. I'll pass this on. However, the current run of Wanton Seed has now sold out.

US Distribution:

If CAMSCO can't be reached, or is not interested,
perhaps the CDSS would be:

Sheffield Launch tomorrow. All welcome. If like me you're not from Sheffield go anticlockwise north of Sheffield centre on the A61 (Penistone Road), take a right onto the B6070 to Chapeltown/Northern General Hospital. Go under the overhead bridge, Botsford St. is a short dead-end on your right just before MKM.

Thanks, Nick
I'll be there. I'll probably sing Ratcliffe Highway if no-one else beats me to it.

The publishers are still looking for a US distributor for the books Wanton Seed and Southern Harvest. I gave them what was Dick's Camsco contact details but they tell me they received no replies. Anyone Stateside got any other suggestions? There seems to be plenty of copies of Marrow Bones left at EFDSS so perhaps a deal could be struck for all 3 books.

There is to be a launch of the new book in Sheffield on the 31st of this month, presumably at the Shakespeare again. This is apart from the promotional concerts being conducted all around the country.

Glad to see this. I really liked the reissues of Marrow Bones and Wanton Seed, and wanted to complete my collection. The price of shipping to the U.S. isn't bad. I added a copy of Shout Kernow for almost no increase in shipping cost - I hope the Kernow book something I should have?

-Joe-

I didn't know the significance of "Southern Harvest" when I saw the thread title. I added "Purslow reissue" to the thread title in hope that would be understandable to more people. Any objection to the thread title change? -Joe-

I'm keeping my old copies too. Only Foggy Dew is falling apart. The other 3 are in quite good nick.

Today I received my newly re-published song book - "Southern Harvest" - English Folk Songs from the Hammond and Gardiner Manuscripts - the combined Frank Purslow books - Constant Lovers and Foggy Dew.
It is great to have these update books with a lot more information on the songs, etc - incl. singer Bios.
I am still going to keep my old copies, even though they are falling apart!!
