It must be original. It might be about paying a bill by phone or a guy who believes every WH lie, who knows.

I knew the guy who started JD Powers for GM. Well we will approve a slew of Mudcat song writers like JD but for free.
Many of us will be Mudcat song writer award winners.

By default Garg is in first place. I don't share the sentiment but I like the song, especially the refrain, (I like it). (Actually I'm just posting here to see if my post shows up enormous.)

I hope it all will be right in the morning!

Yes, too bad someone hijacked the font for this thread.
Here's a song I wrote a few years ago.
("The Rabble Rouser Rag")
Words and a recording of the song is here at
Mark Gregory's Union Song website:

I prefer something that rhymes throughout, even if it is 'Punk'
Instead of 1,2,3,4, how about "Red, yellow, black, white . . ."
It keeps the internal rhyme, and could be taken as either a count-in, or relating to the races of man (In terms which were still in use when punk rock started)

I suppose, to be more PC it could be:
Amerind, Asian,
African, Caucasian,
every effin thing is effin shite
... goodnight...!!!"
That gives us an extra line, and, by chance, an extra rhyme.

Cheers
Nigel

Here's a wee protest against nuisance phone calls: lines in brackets are my replies, when there is a real person on the other end, whom I can berate for their nefarious activities. Apologies for any bad rhymes (see other thread re "over-used rhymes.)

NUISANCE CALLS copyright Trish Santer 09.03.17

I'm a Microsoft technician (No you're not)
Just called to sort that virus that you've got (No I haven't)
So if you will just log on
(No, bugger off, and get you gone,
You're a dirty rotten scammer, you bampot!)

We just called to make you aware of our new scheme,
It's government-approved, house-owner's dream,
We can replace your old windows
Or your boiler, where your bin goes,
And of course the magic word is always "green".

We think you might be owed some PPI,
Just sign along with us and we will try
To get back all your money,
But now it isn't funny,
As we'll take our cut which could be very high.

We heard you'd had an accident last year,
(That's bollocks, no I didn't, never fear,
Who told you that? They're all liars,
You're just chancers and false tryers,
So get off my line, do I make myself quite clear?)

That phone just keeps on ringing night and day,
Oh how I wish they'd all just go away,
But I have plans to stop yer,
I'll be buying a call blocker
To beat you at those games you want to play.

We don't need no education.
We don't need no thought control.
Our effin' teachers have just told us
Double negatives don't work at all.

The things we say ain't what we're meaning.
In what we say, or what we shout.
Boolean double 'not gates' screening,
Teacher, help us sort it out.

Hey Beatles Teachers, "We can work it out"

This scandal is upsetting!
The rich are rich, the poor are poor,
and what we're all forgetting
is ... eh ... eh ...
