Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: Bonzo3legs Date: 09 Mar 17 - 01:53 PM I'm ready to record Bob Harris from the BBC HLS live feed at 7pm, who has Marty Stuart playing live! I'd be interested to know the Live Radio Index code for BBC Radio 2 Country. |

File BobHarris2017.03.09.ts Format : MPEG-TS File size : 343 MiB Duration : 2 h 9 min Overall bit rate : 368 kb/s Now that a very impressive bit rate! |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: GUEST,Guest2 Date: 10 Mar 17 - 04:42 AM Use get_player - comes in two favours https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer_win32/releases/tag/2.99.0 1/ Windows PVR - search, save and download / record up to 7 days after transmission using a Windows interface 2/ Command line - download up to 30 days after transmission Audio files and video files are the max. possible - 320kbps or HD resp., but lowering the bit rate can reduce the sizes For 2/ you need to now the pid of the programme from the iPlayer pages on the BBC website Start up a command window, using DOS commands navigate to c:\program files (x86)\get_player> Then use the command as follows c:\program files (x86)\get_player>get_iplayer --type=radio --modes=best --pid=[whatever] 'best' gets 320kbps Example: All Gas & Gaiters http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007jpfl c:\program files (x86)\get_player>get_iplayer --type=radio --modes=best --pid=b007jpfl |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: Bonzo3legs Date: 10 Mar 17 - 09:22 AM Not forgetting that version 2.97 allows recording of live radio, either using live music index in get_iplayer, or by simply showing live radio stations and clicking Record in its GUI called Web PVR Manager. |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: Bonzo3legs Date: 10 Mar 17 - 06:42 PM Magnificent first night at Country 2 Country & just got home from seeing Steve Knightly! |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: Bonzo3legs Date: 12 Mar 17 - 07:12 AM There was possibly a break in transmission during Reba's set last night, either that or I managed to press the q key on my keyboard which tells ffmpeg to stop recording! Fortunately I was able to download the entire 7 hour broadcast with get_iplayer, then extracted the missing 20 minutes before I restarted the recoding, which can be seamlessly joined to form a complete recording. |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: GUEST,Ed Date: 12 Mar 17 - 10:15 AM A mixed bag, for me. Didn't enjoy last night's concert that much, but I really liked Trevor Nelson's programme earlier this afternoon. As for Marty Stuart, well.. Starting and ending a show that's billed as "a guide to the greatest country musicians of all time" by playing your own recordings, displays an astonishing level of hubris. The Shires are playing some nice stuff now, though. |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: Bonzo3legs Date: 13 Mar 17 - 07:35 AM But a superb set from Marty Stuart last night, Now I have 21 hours plus of wonderful Country music recorded in glorious 320 kbps digital stereo - MediaInfo shows "Overall bit rate: 364 kb/s" so possible even better!! |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: Bonzo3legs Date: 13 Mar 17 - 12:34 PM possible even better innit!!!!! |

Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: GUEST Date: 13 Mar 17 - 01:30 PM I'm certainly not a 'doxy' and you are hardly identifying your true identity, Bonzo... |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: punkfolkrocker Date: 13 Mar 17 - 01:39 PM Our Bonz may be an arsehole.. but at least he has good taste in music and plays electric guitar... so in the diversity of mudcat arseholes - he is more on the wiping once a day with moist tissue and dabbing with talcum end of the spectrum.. unlike malodorous constipated clinker encrusted snide GUEST arseholes, last wiped clean since Izal was all that was available.... 😜 |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: GUEST Date: 13 Mar 17 - 01:52 PM unlike malodorous constipated clinker encrusted snide GUEST arseholes, last wiped clean since Izal was all that was available.... Wow punkfolkrocker! You know me down to a tee! Now get back to telling us about 'bargain' musical equipment that nobody's interested in... |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: punkfolkrocker Date: 13 Mar 17 - 02:09 PM hilarious... I also wear glasses.. so you could up your hurtful bully insults game by calling me "speccy"... I'm from the west country... "wurzel" I've put on weight.. "fatty" .. or you could just use your creative imagination and call me something really inventively nasty.. but no.. you resort to digging at a musician who offers occasional tips to other working musicians who may or be interested right now if they have any hard earned spare funds... pathetic... 🙄 |
Subject: RE: March 2017 BBC Radio Country From: punkfolkrocker Date: 13 Mar 17 - 02:58 PM oi.. pfr you speccy fat wurzel... you didn't type the words "may not"... |
