Used to love Pig's Ear....would go over to the Punch & Judy in Tonbridge whenever they were on, and catch them at other places now and then.

RIP Keef.

You carefully plan something and a gremlin creeps in to have fun and games with the piece you have written! I think I meant the 4th of March....Keith would have loved it!

Thanks Dave,

Peter

I am afraid that Keith Rule passed away on 4th September 2017. Keith came up through the Croydon Folksong Club and sang with his brother, Grant, and his Sister-in-law Sue in various groups including 'Hamfisted" and "Pig's Ear"; both groups becoming well-known in the south of England and beyond. He was also an excellent writer of songs, many of them featuring on the group's CDs.

As a mainstay of the "Pig's Ear Folk Ale" he was charged with looking after the performers and the running order. This was a task akin to herding cats, but he went about it with his usual good humour and common sense. I'm sure many people will have stories about him. He was that sort of character. Farewell "Keef" it was an honour to know you.

RIP

Peter
