Subject: Tech: Bargain Soundcraft Mixer deal UK From: punkfolkrocker Date: 11 Mar 17 - 11:54 PM http://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Soundcraft-GB4-16-16-Channel-Mixer/TPN in case any bands or folk clubs, etc.. are interested in a well specced analog mixer at a reasonably low clear out price... |
Subject: RE: Tech: Bargain Soundcraft Mixer deal UK From: punkfolkrocker Date: 13 Mar 17 - 02:11 PM bumped up.. in response to a twat guest on another thread and just in case any one might be interested on a Monday while stocks last.. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Bargain Soundcraft Mixer deal UK From: punkfolkrocker Date: 13 Mar 17 - 02:16 PM ..though it looks now like this deal may have already sold out.. nearly a grand and a half knocked down to £399 clearance was too tempting... Be cool if a mudcatter was able to benefit...??? |
Subject: RE: Tech: Bargain Soundcraft Mixer deal UK From: punkfolkrocker Date: 13 Mar 17 - 02:21 PM though there still appears to be 5 of Soundcraft GB4-40 40-Channel Mixer left... http://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Soundcraft-GB4-40-40-Channel-Mixer/TPT three thousand three hundred down to £899 though this deal price is maybe not so folk club semi pro band friendly... |
Subject: RE: Tech: Bargain Soundcraft Mixer deal UK From: GUEST,Ray Date: 14 Mar 17 - 10:38 AM These deals are simply a reflection of the way technology is heading at the moment. Who wants to be tied to a desk and multicore cable when it's cheaper and more convenient to plug everything into a box on stage and run the PA, with as many effects as you can shake a stick at on every channel, via wifi, with an iPad? |
Subject: RE: Tech: Bargain Soundcraft Mixer deal UK From: punkfolkrocker Date: 14 Mar 17 - 01:35 PM Absolutely.. That's the future, and better for it... but, there's still a stubborn love for analog mixers amongst die hard enthusiasts, ..for instance.. me.. [a massive 'pro' upgrade from entry level Yamaha & Behringer compact mixers] ....and now is a great [probably last ?] time for securing these kinds of blow out deals for brand new boxed equipment at better than 2nd hand prices... Another weird manifestation of bloke in a shed folkie mentality.. A spare bedroom, and any other rooms in the house I can get away with, project studio combining a central analog mixer, and mix of modern digital gear, and plenty of accumulated analog hardware... Old bloke man cave nostalgic workspace and museum.. a living tribute to the glorious era of Joe Meek DIY creativity... 😎 |
