For those who I have been unable to contact I am sorry to tell you that Ray passed away peacefully yesterday after a long illness.

I was hoping that perhaps we might all meet up for a memorial sing for him at Upton next year.

We will certainly be willing to meet up at Upton, we were thinking of you only the other day and wondering how Ray was.
It seems only the other year that we were all living in Somerset.

My commiserations Verna, we missed you once you both moved to Ireland. I would love to go to a sing in his name at Upton but we live in New Zealand now. I hope some more of The Travelling Folk can make it.

The following songs were sung forRay, Steal Away, The Water Is Wide,Farewell Shanty, and I played an air "Song of The Books", as the coffin was brought in.
