BBC Radio Northampton invites you to join us in Byfield Village... As part of BBC Music Day, we pay tribute to Sandy Denny, influential folk singer-songwriter, who played her last gig in Byfield Village Hall, before her untimely death aged 31.

She played with Fairport Convention before setting up her own band, Fotheringay.

We'll have folk musicians, PJ Wright, Marion Fleetwood, Gregg Cave, Linda Watkins performing Sandy's music, music inspired by her, as well as their own tracks, and Helen Blaby is broadcasting live from and about the village Sandy latterly called home.

This event is unticketed. Please park sensibly in the village.

I live in California. Have been a long time Sandy Denny fan.
Will there be a way to hear this concert by going to a particular link or website on the internet? UK is 8 hours ahead of Los Angeles.
Thank you.
Please let me know the time and date if tribute will be aired.
(If not "live" then perhaps it will be aired for hearing/viewed at a later date?)

I don't own an iPlayer and none of my friends own one.
Hopefully I can hear it on an internet link.

That's an interesting misunderstanding.

Lin: if you click the link I gave you should see the iPlayer logo. 'iPlayer' is the name tbe BBC gives to a set of technologies for listening to and watching their programmes, including in a browser. There are also iPlayer apps for mobile phones, tablets, and TVs.

To play a programme with iPlayer you may need to be in the UK. But it depends in the programme and the content - i.e. broadcast rights. So you'll just have to try it.

The Sandy Denny programme is not available yet. Try this link:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p053qtzw

If you can't play it there are other ways, but more complicated. Or someone in the UK can get it and post a link.
