Anyone familiar with John A. Lomax Jr., som of legendary
collector John A. Lomax, brother or Alan Lomax ???

He recorded an album of folk songs for Folkways,
John A Lomax Jr. Folkways American Folksings

Was one of the contributors to the legendary album of bawdy songs
"The Unexpurgated Folksongs of Men" compiled by Mack McCormick

and was an important figure on the Houston TX folk scene..

His son, John III has uncovered a stash of tapes of him
singing and providing background information about
the songs. A selection has been issued recently on CD.

Interesting article in the Houston Chronicle:
John A Lomax Jr. tapes

Cheers, Thomas.
