I'm just looking for somewhere for myself, I was hopeing someone would have a spare room or space in a shared accommodation, the properties on these sites are £500+ which is ok if I'm sharing with someone but not just for myself. I'm not absolutely stuck, I can go to the youth hostel, I've been there in previous years and its ok, but il wait a bit longer in case something better comes up. Thanks Geoff Jack and Guest.

If you don't mind sharing with the "oldies" on coach trips, you can book a room only in The Royal Hotel through Shearings. They seem to have vacancies.

Hi Johnny, I have just taken a quick look at the Royal, firstly they cannot take a booking for the full week and secondly the prices !!!

Just looked at the Royal, compared with what I am paying for a single room in a B&B I wouldn't consider the prices OTT considering that they quote for half board.

It seems quite reasonable with half board but obviously expensive unless you go as a couple. Single occupancy would appear to still incur double room charges.
