A friend has   asked me if I have the words to this song.."Love em and leave em alone"..sung on the Music Halls by male impersonator Hetty King. I have photo postcards of her but nothing on the song....any ideas? Ta! Dave

Well, I found YouTube videos: Can't say I understand her singing well enough to want to attempt a transcription.

Subject: Lyr Add: LOVE 'EM AND LEAVE 'EM ALONE (Hetty King)

Here's my transcription from the recording:

LOVE 'EM AND LEAVE 'EM ALONE
As recorded by Hetty King

Think of all the habits that the girls have done.
These(?) strong men have fallen by the score.
There's no harm in sitting in the park with one,
But never let 'em lead you to the old church door.

If you like to mingle,
But you want to stay single,
Just love 'em and leave 'em alone.
Don't linger; they'll get you.
They're all out to net you,
So love 'em and leave 'em alone.
Be like a sailor: have one in ev'ry port,
Saucy and naughty, but mind you, don't get caught
At squeezin's and huggin's
But don't be a muggins;
Just love 'em and leave 'em alone.

Now when girls pursue you,
Don't let them cling to you;
Just love 'em and leave 'em alone.
They giggle(?) and chatter,
But what does that matter?
Just love 'em and leave 'em alone.
You may think you're clever at doing all your stuff.
Take my advice, boys: treat the ladies rough.
If they think you're dizzy,
… [unintelligible line rhyming with "dizzy"]
So love 'em and leave 'em alone.

Old maids don't look thrilling,
But I'll bet a shilling,
They're willing to leave 'em alone.
Be careful; don't tarry.
They all want to marry,
So love 'em and leave 'em alone.
At twenty, there's plenty; be careful what you do.
At thirty, they're flirty and looking out for you.
At forty, they're sporty;
At fifty, they're naughty.
At sixty, well, leave 'em alone.

Old farmer Giles was a devil of a sheikh.
He liked his drink strong, but he loved the ladies weak.
One day he went too far.
Now he's a grandpa,
So love 'em and leave 'em alone.
