Anyone have the lyrics or know where I can access them please. Have searched the data bases here with no luck

I know it is aGraeme Miles song written and performed by him, but also might have been covered by Vin Garbutt.

Any help greatly appreciated

Folktrax.org says A WHITBY GIRL'S LAMENT appeared on Graeme Miles' album "The Sea's Their Bread: Songs of Fishermen & Sailors," FTX-223, 1977.

They also say it begins "I came in by Whitby town, O my Terence he was drowned" and they call it a "Captain Kidd" type tune.

That's all I could find.

I'll email Robin Dale, I'll be surprised if he doesn't know it.
It's not on either of Robin's CDs nor in Forgotten Songs Remembered nor Songscapes.

Robin Dale sang this song at a concert at Whitby Folk Week in 2009, and I have a recording. If you don't manage to get the words from Robin I'll take them down from the recording.
