Subject: RE: What is a cat café in 1976? From: meself Date: 06 Aug 17 - 07:54 PM Having just looked at the lyrics, and with no other basis than that, the whole thing seems like nothing more than a bit of whimsy: the Cat Cafe is the name of the establishment in question; Huwey is the house-cat who has a usual perch, where he sits like a statue - or actually IS a statue ("made from wax and paint"), or, alternatively, is an actual statue-like person or statue of a person .... You can imagine the song being written in honour and appreciation of some local hang-out ....... |
