Just saw The PBS concert with Arlo, PP&M and the Weavers from 2003-- The question I have is who was playing bass with the weavers?? He looked familiar.. Ralph Rinzler? Anybody Know???

Was it the 1980 Wasn't That a Time concert, the one that was made into a 1982 movie?

No, It was later - The Weavers on this concert were, Fred H. Eric Darling, Pete and Ronnie, plus a bass player (Acoustic AND electric)who sure looked familiar. It was a concert at Carnegie Hall with Arlo (with Sara et all) and PP&M. I think they did say 2003. Great concert - PBS Fund raiser here in Wisconsin.

I emailed Mary Katherine. If anybody will know, she will.
Look through YouTube and see if you can find a clip from it, so we'll all know we're talking about the same thing. I'm thinking Paul Prestopino may have played bass for the Weavers at that reunion, but that's just a guess.

Paul played guitar banjo and mandolin for PP&M on that concert but not the Weavers.

That video clip is great. Somebody ought to be able to recognize the bass player from that.

And not that it answers the current question, here's a link to the All the 1951 videos. And you didn't even know that there were music videos before MTV.

Paul is still active, as are Noel Paul Stookey and Peter Yarrow. They might also be able to help.

I asked Peter Yarrow, who says that it's Eric Weissberg.
