Don't miss The Transports - hoping to catch it on the live festival video feed!

I thought the line-up looks more flokie interesting than it has for years. Couldn't agree more about the transports but afraid americana, Country and Cajun are the last things I would go see at an English Folk Festival.

well i'm happy with a bit of scots and irish and african too. and some english, though having listened to and enjoyed it for decades i'm just finding it -particularly the unaccompanied singing- a bit stale. however, when the young 'uns did a gig in cockermouth followed by an hour in my local i certainly wasn't moaning. there was a definite attempt a few years back to mix it all up a bit which i enjoyed. (but it went too far - boney m was the final act at my favourite, trowbridge, festival)

We've not been for a few years now - nor have we considered going. The final nail in the coffin for me was when the Proclaimers headlined. Nowt wrong with them of course, but not at a folk festival.

Such a shame, it used to such a damned good festival.

For it's size and costs I find the Shrewsbury Line ups very disappointing

It has been a tremendous festival again this year. Fantastic line up, great organisation and, for once, perfect weather throughout!
