It is a lesser known song that many people do not even know about and Brian Wilson wrote it in the early 60's. Lyrics are beautiful and full of sadness. Can be heard on Youtube. Not pop sounding at all but just an eloquently written song and lovely melody. |

Subject: RE: (Not Folk) Music (But GREAT music) From: Andy7 Date: 03 Mar 18 - 02:49 PM Yes, he has a very good voice. I think his falsetto in the song is a mistake though, it's not especially strong or sweet. Compare with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xe4qk7Mijlo Btw ... are those morris dancers at 1:57? |
Subject: RE: (Not Folk) Music (But GREAT music) From: Joe Offer Date: 03 Mar 18 - 11:01 PM Here's a bit about the origins of the song from https://www.definitions.net/definition/cara%20mia:
My Great Song Thesaurus says words and music were by Trulio Tranpani and Lee Lange, 1954. Was it first written in Italian? Not much in Wikipedia.
