My Grandfather served in the Arizona back in 1930'S. He wrote some lyrics in the back of one of his books and I found them recently. I have not been able to find the song but here are the lyrics I can read. I would love to know what song this is. You can contact me at )safetydave38@gmail.com if you can help me find this song. Thanks. Herea are the Lyrics.

Sailor Lad

I’m a merry sailor lad, Ye ho! And my life is free and glad, Yeho!
For I love the foaming crest, tossed upon the billour breast, knowing neither pause nor rest Ye Ho!
Then it’s heave ho! When the north winds blow, and the waves crash fierce and high, with? Life that’s glad and free, It’s a life upon the sea,
For it never knows we borrow nor a sigh, my ships a gallant craft, Ye Ho!
Clean and shining fore and aft, Ye Ho!
And she rides the rolling wave, firm and steady tall and brave, all her persons bright to save Ye Ho!

Hi, Mick. I'm sure glad you're back. Did you get my email about your login information?

Here are the lyrics from the song Mick linked to:

THE SAILOR

I'm a merry sailor lad, Ye-ho!
And my life is free and glad, Ye-ho!
For I love the foaming crest,
Tossed upon the billow's breast,
Knowing neither pause nor rest, Ye-ho!

CHORUS:
Then it's heave-ho! when the north winds blow,
And the waves dash fierce and high.
Oh, the life that's glad and free,
Is a life upon the sea,
For it never knows a sorrow nor a sigh.

Oh, my ship's a gallant craft, Ye-ho!
Clean and shining fore and aft, Ye-ho!
And she rides the rolling wave,
Firm and steady, true and brave,
All her precious freight to save, Ye-ho!
