Following up on my other thread: there was one other thing that my Scottish grandfather would always 'sing' (really it was tuneless, but it was still recited to a rhythm at least). Unfortunately, this one I've only ever learned phonetically, which makes it almost impossible to google; the only words that I actually "know" are the last two. It went something like

I, die,
chickadye doney
um pum pony
alabala whiskey
chinese junk

Seems like a long shot, but has anyone ever heard anything that sounds like this? (Or any guesses about what the other words could have been? Maybe other types of boats?)

sounds a bit like a skipping rhyme, but not heard it before
