Nancy Wilson passed, I believe,
on the 13th or 14th of December
but I just heard about this.

I don't faithfully listen to National Public Radio
which made haste to report Nancy Wilson's death
and to program a report on her life and career.

Following a long, successful singing career,
Ms. Wilson hosted music shows on NPR,
and appeared on other NPR shows hosted by others.

Her influences include Little Jimmy Scott and Dinah Washington.

RIP Miss Wilson. "How Glad I Am" was quite a hi in the 60s and her album with Cannonball Adderley is on my Christmas list.

She also did some acting, and about the only episode of the original Hawaii Five-O I remember was had her as the guest star, though it was a stereotyped character, a drug-using singer.

One of her albums and a single upload of a very pretty song.

She was an important singer in her time.
