Sorry guys, whenever I see the "OS" prefix, I can't remember what it was supposed to stand for. I always think of it as "Other Shit" (instead of BS, you know).

It means "other stuff," as opposed to the somewhat demeaning prefix "BS," which seems to lower the subject you want to discuss as soemthing less worthy than others. "Other stuff" just implies a non-music related thread. Lazy Slackers Make Fat Tips?

Margo, I started OS because I refuse to use BS, for the well put reason Embow gave. The only thing I've seen around here that I would definitely classify as shit is a pile of bat-like droppings.

Also, os is Latin for mouth; in medicine we say "nothing per os" when a patient is restricted to eating and drinking nothing. So, when I designated OS for other stuff, I also pointed out that it meant "mouth" which I guess one could use in place of BS, as in shootin' off one's mouth.

Interesting Margo.....because my first mention of possums I ever made here was in a conversation with Bert about a possum having an "ospenis"...don't ask me why we were discussing this. But the story is funny, so I'll repeat it.

Had a friend in an Ag class who came back to the dorm laughing his ass off. The prof was explaining an ospenis using "proper" terms and some dimbulb guy in the class couldn't seem to get it. After a few stabs at it, the prof totally lost it, and shouted, "Aw for gawdsakes, its a BONY PETER man!"
