There is a song where the abuse starts at the owner and gets passed down the chain until it ends up with the weaver getting kicked by either the goat or the sheep. Does anyone know that song I am looking for?

There's a verse in Prospect, Providence, Perseverance that goes

There'll be no more bawling of a weaver out when a piece makes the menders grieve
"Oh, my shuttles were all cracked so I'd too many traps, and the weft's not fit to weave"
Then the spinner finds fault with the willyer's blend, who says that his rags were too cheap
And the blame gets passed right down the line, till the gaffer goes and kicks the sheep

Gerry, that was exactly the gist I was looking for. Thank you! I think I may have heard a song that even goes through the various people who the blame gets passed down through till the "gaffer goes and kicks the sheep". But I will listen to the ones you mentioned to see if that is what I was thinking of.

Yup! That was the one I was thinking of. Two Black Sheep and a Stallion do a great rendition on Sing the Sun into the Sky. I just could not place where I had heard.

I believe this is a Keith Marsden composition.
I have the original recording on a Cockersdale album, "Doin' the Manch"
