Subject: Lyr Req: With her dog and her gun - Petrie From: GUEST Date: 24 Apr 19 - 09:28 AM In the George Petrie collection of traditional Irish melodies, there's an air called "With her dog and her gun". Does anybody know if there are words to go with this tune? There is a song under this title in the DT, also called the Golden Glove, but it's not what I'm looking for. |

(There are American version with With Her Dog And Gun as title). Although Tamworth is the usual location, there is a broadside in the Bodleian set in Clare: A New Song Called the Lady Went a Hunting With Her Dog and Her Gun. (At a quick glance it looks fairly standard apart from the opening). Mick |
