Well, Harpy, it appears that Pete Goble (1932-2018) was born in Kentucky, but moved to Detroit in 1948 and lived in Michigan much of his life. We Detroiters oughta come up with a transcription, don'tchathink?

Don't know if I'll have time for the whole thing tonight, but I'm make a start. I like storytelling songs like this. It's a nice little melodrama.
