For those that might be interested I found a really excellent article on guitar neck angles, and methods of detection of neck angle problems, by Frank Ford at Frets.com

To read it, click here.

Happy Millenema to all Mudcatters.

That's a really handy resource, Michael K. And I'm pleased to say that my fairly chewed up Angelica which dates from about 1960 (though I only bought it in a charity shop four years or so ago) came through the tests with flying colours.

You're all very welcome.

Fret's is one of my favourite websites as far as anything you could possibly want to know about acoustic guitars and their respective properties. Frank Ford is an incredibly detailed guy, a master luthier and has a wonderful ability to illustrate and explain things in layman's terms.

I do not understand why he appears to think the saddle block has an ideal height from the top of the guitar

Thanx for the "Heads Up", Michael. I check on Frets.com regularly. I've learned the most about guitars from Frank Ford.

Speaking of neck angles, is your neck redo done yet?
