Is this allowed? Fairly obvious that someone is doing it who likes to post as various people. It's very bizarre behaviour in the context of a discussion to my mind.

Never allow mudcat to upload files to your computer.

This has been my experience. Do not expect actual help.

Ignore is a good defense when something is out of the ordinary.

Mudcat doesn't do that, Don. Do you have good antivirus software and something like Malwarebytes to run in realtime and keep an eye on things? And a request to "upload files" would be to remove data from your computer, are you sure that's what you're seeing? Then the malware seems to be very polite in asking first?

Nick, the old troll is no longer a member so can't post below the line at all, but comes back regularly to the music section and posts that way. If you see one, send a note to a moderator, though we catch them pretty regularly.

I wasn't aware that anyone could change personal messages. If this is true (although I generally consider Donuel's posts as 'dubious') then it should be reconsidered.
Posts, on individual threads, may be subject to revision. I admit that I've got access to revise/delete comments about the BBC's "Singing Together" booklets. An ability which I take great care to use judiciously.

Stilly, It only happened once so I don't know if it said down or up but by reason it was probably download. After reseting the computer there was no harm or foul.

After the beard bruce incursion and 3 separate wild accusations by PM they were edited to sound benign. The FBI followed up after the complaint by bb claiming that I revealed Judge Cavanugh's address of 18 Brewski lane Potomac MD. It was a delightful and courteous experience. The lead agent was only 1 inch shorter than Comey. He was training a kid. Since they drove up in a black Buick Century I greeted them first by saying "I see you are the FBI" before they could even reach for their flip badges.
Upon leaving I heard him say to the kid "They are not all this easy".
My wife was bit miffed however.

Still, you have an equivalent to a PHD+ in musicology the more I see what you have done and do.

I had a date with an FBI agent once, or at least I thought I did. Somewhere along the course of the date, I found out she was just a record searcher. We didn't hit it off and never went out again, but not for that reason. We just didn't have anything in common except that we were in Sacramento and went to Catholic high schools that were almost next door to each other in Milwaukee.

Heah, Donuel, I was in a Catholic seminary for 8 years when it was a 12-year program. I completed high school and college there.

In my 25 years as a government investigator, I was surprised how often people wanted to confess to me. Don't know if it was my seminary training, or the person's perception of my "authority" as an investigator, or what. Whatever the case, I listened, and they felt better afterwards.

Steve, I can see how it might be difficult for you to travel through life....
