I'm going over to see my daughter in Melbourne mid-March for a month and would love to explore any folk clubs/singarounds in the area. (Alas, my daughter has no interest in the folk scene). I mostly sing unaccompanied traditional as a club floor singer but I'd be happy to just join in some good chorus songs! What I turn up on the web seem to be 'Concerts' or music sessions. Have I missed anything please?

Victorian Folk Music Club lists tune sessions, but if you contact them, they would know about song sessions, they might even have members like we have in Sydney who can organise a song session for visiting singers.

Festival calendar it's a National listing,

On the 3rd Wed of each month Kathryn Clements runs a singers session at the Quiet Man Hotel in Flemington which is very close to central Melbourne. Also I run a session on the last Wed of each month at the Mt Dandenong Hotel in Olinda which is in the hills about 35klm east of Melbourne. Both sessions feature traditional songs and attract reasonable numbers.

I forgot to say that details of both sessions can be found on Facebook.
