Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Parody of Weather forecaste From: Jack Campin Date: 19 Apr 20 - 11:25 AM The first of the choral ones was by the Dorian Choir from Wellington, around 1970, setting the New Zealand national forecast. The English choirs picked up their idea a few years later. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Parody of Weather forecaste From: Richard Mellish Date: 19 Apr 20 - 05:28 PM One episode of the BBC (Light Programme?) series Take it From Here back in the 50s had a sung weather forecast, which I may possibly have on tape. One bit I remember is: "Fastnet to Faeroes, the fog's getting black. You can't see your hand, can't see your hand, behind your back". but I don't think that's the one you're looking for. |
